Description

Soft, bi-elastic silicone adhesive wound dressing. Top layer of lycra fibers giving the dressing a silken-like look. The wide scaled pore structure of the dressing allows the dressing to breath and supports an optimal wound healing based on the principle of moist wound healing. Can be used as a protective layer on fragile skin ( skin at risk ) to support skin tissues. Does not absorb.

The silicone dressing can stay in place for several days ( Fewer dressing changes ). Change frequency depends on the condition of the wound and the amount of wound exudate. The wide scaled pore structure of the dressing allows wound exudate to pass vertically towards an outer absorbent dressing.

The silicone layer prevents the dressing to stick into the wound bed and guarantees dressing changes without loss of epidermis. The silicone layer seals off the wound edges; the skin around the wound stays dry and healthy without signs of maceration.
